ELVA-1 @ Scientific Community: New Components Boosted the 95GHz EPR-spectrometer Sensitivity at Institute of Experimental Physics (Free University Berlin, Germany)

The Institute of Experimental Physics (Free University Berlin, Germany) chose our company as a vendor for supplying a number of key components for their 95GHz EPR-spectrometer upgrade project. During the year 2002 we shipped them a High Stability Low-noise 95GHz Source and a 200mW 95GHz Amplifier featured with variable attenuator and fast PIN diode switch. These components are colored in bright yellow at a block diagram below.

The Source has 30mW output power at 95GHz. It is characterized by -135dBc/1Hz amplitude noise and -100 dBc/1Hz phase noise at 10 kHz offset. This outstanding low noise level remains in the output of ELVA's 95GHz 200mW Amplifier.  For more details of the EPR-spectrometer test scheme please visit proceeding pages at http://www.physik.fu-berlin.de/~ag-moebius/index.html.

Because of signed Non-disclose Agreement we cannot publish most of the upgrade results and signal/noise diagrams. But according to customer's permission, it is possible to declare 10 times increase in EPR-spectrometer sensitivity after the equipment upgrade.

Those of our subscribers, who might be interested in more details of the EPR-spectrometer upgrade, can contact Dr. Anton Savitsky from Institute of Experimental Physics, Free University Berlin,

ELVA's PPC-42/40 MVDS Systems are Certified by CCC in Russia

Our PPC-42/40 MVDS System for MVDS broadcasting at 42GHz band finally got a CCC Certificate. The CCC, a certification body of Russian Ministry of Telecommunication, issued a permissive cert for ELVA for manufacturing PPC-42/40 MVDS in production-mass numbers for local market. Accordingly to current Russian telecom regulations, both manufacturer and operator companies have to own CCC certs to work on licensed 40.5 – 42.5 GHz band.

As in many other countries, a certification process in Russia is a long-lasting bureaucratic procedure, so we are happy now to serve our local customers with PPC-42/40 MVDS Systems.

Representatives of Communication Service Providers, who are among our subscribers, we welcome you to contact our sales on certification and deployment PPC-42/40 MVDS System at your countries worldwide. Free working samples of ELVA’s MVDS System are available for Certification purposes (terms and conditions apply).
