ELVA-1 at NXTcomm 2008

Leading telecommunications companies presented their information technologies on the international NXTcomm08 exhibition in the Las Vegas Convention Center, June 16-19 that was organized by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA).

It is one of the shows that provide the audience with the opportunity to share the number of industry leaders and the vast range of Business and Technologies of Communications. And the exhibitors gather to showcase customers and suppliers their existing and upcoming products and solutions on this industry venue.

As a global leader in producing of millimeter wave communication technologies, ELVA-1 presented its PPC-1000 Gigabit Ethernet Mm-wave Link. PPC-1000 is a full-duplex Gigabit point-to-point link especially designed according to ECC and FCC requirements. It provides interconnection between remote LAN segments at the ultra high capacity of 1.25 Gbps and utilizes Gigabit Ethernet protocol, which is the evolving standard for switches and routers available from a variety of telecommunication equipment manufacturers. The operating frequencies cover 40.5-43.5 GHz and 71-76/81-86 GHz.

Another Link, presented this year on NXTcomm08 by ELVA-1 is PPC-100 Series of mm-wave digital radio. It`s designed to provide 100 Mbps/155 Mbps connectivity for a wide range of application. As an IP-packet transparent wireless bridge Elva-1 is easily deployed in point-to-point configurations with modular flexibility accepting either 100 Base Tx (RJ-45) or 100 Base Fx / STM-1 SC multimode Fiber Optic connector. PPC-100 frequency bands cover 40.5-43.5 GHz, 71-76/81-86 GHz and 92-95 GHz. PPC-100 can be also used in constructing Point-to-Multipoint topology systems on 40.5-43.5 GHz wave bands which permits to connect several networks by using one Base Station.

Its fiber-class data rate, ease of installation and affordable cost make the PPC-1000 and PPC-100 an ideal solution for WiFi or mobile network backhaul links, business WAN or IP telephony gateway connections, metropolitan area networks and rapid-deployment emergency communications.

Also ELVA-1 brought a new mm-wave DPM Power Meter to live demonstration at our booth. This portable Power Meter is single-channel average power meter intended for microwave-power measurements within 0.01 GHz to 220 GHz band. All modern features like easy-to-use operating, compact unit case and precise and reliable measurement are implemented in the DPM-xx Power Meter.
